Motion Control System for the Film Industry
DC Allen provided electronics and software system-level design for a brand new film camera motion control system for client Kontrol Freax. The new KFX Aurora system, specified with direct input from the BBC, pulled together engineers from DC Allen, London-based design house PDD and a software team based in South Africa. The system has a rich feature set, sets new standards in ease of use, and is designed to withstand use in extreme environments. It has already been used in several Arctic shoots.

DC Allen Real-time kernel ports
The majority of DC Allen embedded software products utilize our in-house-developed real time kernel. We have completed ports of this to a number of Freescale processor families, including MC9S08, MC9S12 and MCF51 (Coldfire), covering 8, 16 and 32-bit applications.
